Homework For LifeAfter reading Matthew Dicks book, Storyworthy, I picked up a new habit. He calls it Homework For Life. It's just a daily journal entry. Every morning (or evening, if you prefer), take a minute and think back to the prior day. Go thru everything memorable that happened, and pull out the best story. Write down a quick sentence that highlights what the story is. Enough to give you context where your memory snaps back to that moment in time. Bonus points if you write down the entire story! Doing this (both personally and business-wise) is a great way to keep an objective look at everything that has happened over the years. They're great memories to look back and reflect on. If you do this daily, you can have claude or chat gpt analyze all of your writing, and give you themes/breakdowns for the year... Fantastic tool to capture memories/daily stream of consciousness - all while making you a better storyteller (cause you have to write them down!) Here's a SHEET you can use to do quick tracking Here's a DOC you can use to write the stories. You'll never regret being able to see your stream of consciousnesses for a particular point in time.
